Ozark County History

A Catalog of the
Ruby Robins Collection

Publications, articles, and other information accumulated over the years by the late Ruby Robins, editor and publisher of the Ozark County Times in Gainesville, Missouri, are available for viewing and studying at the Ozark County Library, across the street from the post office. This catalog is simply a listing of the materials in the Ruby Robins Collection. The materials in the collection are open to viewing and study by the public but may not be removed from the library.

We invite you to browse through this interesting assortment of materials that Mrs. Robins collected over the years. She filled filing cabinets, pocket envelopes, boxes, and bookshelves with everyday articles and publications that have become treasured resources for local-history lovers. We hope you will enjoy browsing through the various categories just as we have enjoyed going through the boxes and cabinets and shelves, discovering treasures and triggering memories. Click one of the links listed on the left side of this page to learn more about the Ruby Robins Collection or about Ozark County and Missouri in general.

If you would like more information but are unable to visit the library, contact Dorothy Gardner at 417-679-4442. She is available to discuss Ozark County genealogy and, for a reasonable fee, will do additional research on the materials in the Ozark County Genealogy room and the Ruby Robins collection.
